Revive and Restore NutritionWhy All This Matters
Nutrition is a loaded word and one that most peope don’t really understand. Is “nutrition” just another word for whatever diet a person is on at any given time? Is there a one-size-fits-all answer out there?
I firmly believe we all need to be eating a whole food, nutrient dense, properly prepared diet so that our bodies can absorb the optimal nutrients it needs.
Eating real, unprocessed, nutrient dense, properly prepared whole foods, is at the very core of what matters. We need food from both plants and animals to help fuel our bodies. This is the kind of food our bodies are made to thrive on. Eating in this way helps us to discover how to begin to reverse the negative impacts of the Standard American Diet (SAD).
I love this way of eating as it will help reduce inflammation, regulate blood sugar and ease digestive issues. Living your best life is worth the effort it will take and I believe with all my heart you can and will feel so much better making some dietary and lifestyle changes.
I believe that when these nutritional foundations are out of balance there are resulting consequences. These consequences are expressed in the body through digestive issues, blood sugar dysregulation, vitamin & mineral deficiencies, hormone imbalances, adrenal fatigue, moods, inflammation and depressed immune system function. Stress is also a big factor in our overall health and can affect how we process/absorb food.
It is evident to me that we should strive to support our body’s nutritional needs, offering it a chance to effectively care for itself through proper nutrition, appropriate movement, stress management and quality sleep. The important thing to remember is that your health did not deteriorate overnight, so we cannot expect it to improve instantly. When beginning Nutritional Therapy, you can expect to see changes as your body adapts to a new lifestyle of eating and actually being nourished.
Nutritional Therapy is not a quick fix, but the rewards are wonderful! It is important to not put band-aids on that may seem to help in the short term, but may actually mask symptoms. I believe in addressing the root by eating a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole food diet that could make a world of difference for you.
There is no reason you should settle for just getting by, when you deserve to feel amazing as you live the life you’ve been gifted with. Why wait, when you can RESTART your health today!
My Story
Welcome to Revive & Restore Nutrition! I am a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and a Registered Nurse (RN). I have an avid interest in health and nutrition that won’t escape me.
Hi, my name is Jeanenne. My journey to becoming a certified FNTP began many years ago with the loss of my own health due to severe mercury poisoning and an autoimmune disorder. After going to many doctors who said I was fine, I finally found a naturopath that diagnosed just how sick I really was and how it had broken down many of my body systems. It affected my memory, loads of bloating and diarrhea, lots of hair loss, thyroid dysfunction, and a very toxic liver that presented itself by my skin turning orange, just to name a few things.
At one point my condition worsened while living in South Africa and I was hospitalized for a month and almost died. This is when a team of doctors diagnosed me with a bizarre autoimmune disease, which has taken a while to recover from.

This illness stimulated and birthed in me an interest in health, nutrition, supplements and healthy lifestyle eating to aid in reviving my health and healing for my body. I became focused on bringing restoration to my body through an awareness of eating a properly prepared, nutrient dense whole food diet and supplements. The doctors wanted me on medication, but I was convinced I could find healing again, through a natural course.
So, after being out of the hospital only a few months, I enrolled in a school to become a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. During and after this schooling, I began to apply the principles I learned. I soon began to see and experience some changes in my body. To my joy, the Autoimmune disease was reversed to a great degree through proper nutrition.
My passion and calling is to help others to holistically restore and revive their own lives through food and lifestyle choices.
I have always been somebody that has been involved in helping people. In fact, at the age of 13, all I wanted to become was a nurse and graduated as a Registered Nurse by the age of 19. I grew up in a large family as the oldest of 7 kids (5 girls and 2 boys). My Dad was an only child and he always wanted brothers and sisters, so that is why there are so many of us. Having all these brothers and sisters is a delightful blessing to me, one I wouldn’t change for the world.
The passion of my life is loving God and loving people. I have an amazing husband, who loves to eat anything created in the kitchen by me. He is my biggest fan, a huge encouragement, a believer in a healthy lifestyle and the absolute love of my life! We have 3 grown kids, who are all married with children of their own. Those kids never cease to entertain and delight us all. The only sad bit is they are currently spread over several continents, which can be a bit hard on a mom’s heart.
I have spent years leading people in small groups, mentoring people in their 20s and 30s and leading teams globally around the world to help the poor and needy. Our ventures have taken us into places like India, the Hill Tribes of Thailand, Nicaragua, through jungles in Costa Rica, Uganda, Zambia and South Africa seeking to make a difference in people’s lives.
Most recently, my husband and I moved back from living in Africa for the past 10 years where we founded a nonprofit, along with our son and daughter-in-love, called “Hope Africa Collective”. This is where we found we could make a long-term difference by helping the poor and marginalized Xhosa Tribe.
Whether I was in other parts of the world or here in the USA, I have found that I have a passion for health and nutrition, not just for myself, but for others as well. Being a Registered Nurse (RN), a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and navigating my own heath journey has given me the platform to help others.
I have used nutrition to bring a great deal of healing to myself and I feel called to help other people “Revive & Restore” their lives as well. There are so many people walking around that don’t even realize that they are living mediocre lives because of how they feel. Much of how a person feels physically and emotionally is directly linked to their nutrition. My passion is for you to live a vibrant life in every way. I invite you to embark on the journey to “Revive your body & Restore your soul.”
What Is Nutritional Therapy?
There is no “Magic Pill” and Nutrition is not One-Size-Fits-All. Everyone is unique and Nutritional Therapy helps uncover what will work best for you!
By focusing on the foundations of health, (digestion, blood sugar balance, mineral balance, hydration, and fatty acids), we work to improve how the foods you eat can enable your body to focus on keeping you healthy and possibly reverse illness.
The Nutritional Therapy approach is not about counting calories, weighing food, or fad “dieting”. Rather, we address nutrition from a holistic perspective and trust the body’s innate ability to heal itself when properly nourished. We believe the foundation of true health lies in eating a properly prepared, nutrient-dense whole food diet that taste delicious!
Nutritional Therapy is an evidence-based approach to maximizing one’s health potential through individually formulated nutritional and lifestyle changes. Every individual is as unique as a rain drop or snow flake that falls from the sky.
When we don’t give our bodies the tools to work with, a breakdown in each system of the body begins to occur. The huge number of health problems affecting our society today is in part due to poor nutrition resulting in the degradation of one’s foundational health. A Functional Nutritional Therapy Practioner (FNTP) take a foundational, holistic approach to wellness that focuses on the importance of a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle. It is important to honor the body’s own feedback system and its’ incredible capacity to restore, regenerate, and correct itself when given the tools and nutrients to do so.
As a Functional Nutritional Therapist, I do not diagnose or treat disease, what I strive to do is educate, inform and guide you on a path to wellness.
If all of this sounds like a good fit for you and you’re ready to consider a next step, I would love to head down that path with you.
